Course Description: The arts have been practiced as forms of prayer for centuries. Yet most of us have been taught to commodify art, and direct prayer into expressions of "please" and "thank you". In this class we will explore the realm of "creative prayer" engaging in the creative processes of visual and written art with intentionality and mindfulness. Through the improvisational process of creativity, one can reach nuances of prayer that are otherwise unavailable. We will be using paint, pencils, markers, and glue. The only pre-requisite is a playful spirit.
