Tina de Souza, teacher, psychologist and priestess in the Umbanda Afro-Brazilian spiritual tradition returns to the Bay Area to present this one-day worklshop on Deep Listening and the Primitive Unconscious.
The aim of the workshop is a deeper understanding and exploration of the primitive unconscious through deep listening practices. Areas explored include processes related to psychosomatic balance - natural energy systems; the four major elements and sixteen sub-elements; the use of water, candles and herbs in bringing about balance; transference and counter-transference, tendency and perception of the self and other. An experiential practicum is included during the day.
Tina de Souza has over thirty years of initiation in the Afro-Brazilian tradition and has developed the Meta-Psychotherapy Process (MPP), based on the integration of Afro-Brazilian traditions with psychotherapy processes to develop psychosomatic balance in the Self. Tina lives and works in Brazil and conducts workshops and seminars in Europe, Brazil, and the United States.
