COURSE DESCRIPTION: Through Chi Gung movement and meditation, cultivate purposeful and healthful flow of chi, the vital life force. Learn how chi flows through the 12 organ meridians and influencec your body, as well as specific acupressure points for self-care. Experience the alchemy of water, wood, fire, earth, metal, the five elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and how to nourish and balance them for harmony of body, mind and spirit. Chi Gung meditation guides you into the mysteries of sounds, temperatures, symbols and figures of your inner landscape. Give these archetypal images visual and tactile form through creative self expression. No experience needed.

OBJECTIVE: Learn Chi Gung for health, focus and groundedness. Discover the bridge between your creativity and your inner anatomy through guided visualizations. Connect with your ancestral and spiritual sources and honor them through creative process. Learn mixed media art techniques.

REQUIREMENTS: Attendance (one absence for serious reason allowed) 25%. Class participation 25%. Additional class activities, home practice of Chi Gung and journaling 25%. Final Art Presentation 25%.

FEES: $10 art fee, plus $20 for our book Chi Gung and the Creative Process by Elise and Kaleo Ching, 1999, 150 pages
